Mara Lewis, MS, MFT Candidate

Mara earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology: Pre-Counseling and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Oklahoma Baptist University. Mara also has certificates in CALM training, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and is a certified facilitator in Prepare/Enrich.

Mara uses a Narrative Family Therapy approach to her treatment in therapy with a touch of Experiential Family Therapy. She believes people are able to construct their own stories in a way that is more helpful than their current problem-saturated story. She also believes we live through our experiences, and they shape us into who we are. Mara strives to help clients rewrite and understand their story, along with helping to learn how to express and communicate emotions rather than suppressing them.

Mara has always had a passion for wanting to help people and give them a chance to be heard, whether that be individuals, couples, families, or children.

Mara is currently accepting private pay at a rate of $60 per session.
