Canaan R. Crane, MS, LMFT

Canaan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Family Psychology from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1997. He continued on at OBU and earned his Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2000. 

He is currently working on a PhD in Family Science from Oklahoma State University. Canaan is Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist by the State of Oklahoma. He is also a State Approved Supervisor for LMFT Licensure.

Canaan is currently serving a term on the Elections Committee for the Oklahoma Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. He has served this board in numerous roles, including Student/Associate Representative, Newsletter Editor, Board Member, Treasurer and Conference Chair. Canaan is also serving an appointment to the LMFT Advisory Board for the State Board of Health.

Canaan is very involved in his church. He attends University Baptist Church in Shawnee and is active in Sunday School and church life. He leads worship on Sunday evenings, serves as a Deacon, and teaches the College/Young Adult Sunday School.  He is active in the UBC Community Food Garden.

Scott earned his Bachelor of Arts in Family Psychology from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2002. He continued at OBU and earned his Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2004. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed in the state of Oklahoma.

Scott has been working with Bison Family Therapy Institute since January, 2009. He also contracts with other agencies to provide therapy to families that are involved with OKDHS. He provides individual, couples, and family therapy and has experience in many areas, including Drug and Alcohol Treatment, Marital Problems, Behavioral Issues, Mood and Anxiety Disorders, and Emotional Trauma.
